The September holidays

A clear window to get ahead, before promos and the A Levels.

The September break is one of the best windows you get all year. The content is mostly taught, the exams are close enough to focus the mind, and you have a few clear days to turn understanding into exam performance. Used well, this is where a lot of the grade is won.

That is exactly what the September Intensive is for. Over three focused days you consolidate the highest-yield topics, then drill the essays and case studies that actually come up, with each question dissected and structured for you. You leave knowing the content and knowing how to write it.

JC1 students walk into the promotional exams on the front foot. JC2 students close the gap between what they know and what they can produce under time. Either way the plan is clear and the work is doable, starting this September.

How the three days work

Content, then skills, then exam-ready.

The Intensive is sequenced so the content comes first, the writing skill is layered on top, and you finish having practised on the question types that come up.

01

Consolidate the content

The September Study Sprint refreshes the highest-yield Micro and Macro topics across five exam-focused lessons, each taught through the exact question types examiners use, with a notes package for every lesson.

02

Build the exam skills

The Level 2 Essay and CSQ Bootcamps drill 24 essays and 16 case studies, dissected and structured live, so you learn to read what a question is really asking and write an answer that scores.

03

Walk in ready

Across both parts you get exposure to a wide range of question types and real practice volume, so the promotional exams or the A Levels feel familiar rather than unknown.

Content, consolidated

In-depth coverage of the key Micro and Macro topics across the Study Sprint, refreshed in compact, focused sessions.

Evaluation that scores

Learn to craft the high-scoring evaluations that move answers into the top bands.

Real practice volume

Cover more essays and case studies across the bundle than many students do on their own in a year.

Question technique

Learn to dissect what a question is really asking and structure a clear, rigorous answer.

Exposure to question types

See the range of questions that actually come up, so nothing in the exam is unfamiliar.

Experienced guidance

Led by Mr Eugene Toh and the ETG Tutoring Team, who run these crashcourses every cycle.

Not sure which tier fits your level? Tell us your year and subject, we will point you to the right one.

Part 1, the September Study Sprint

Five high-yield topics, in one day.

On 7 September 2026, the Study Sprint covers key concepts through the presentation, dissection and analysis of five exam question types per lesson, the ones that frequently appear for each topic. You receive a notes package for every lesson you take.

Lesson 1 · Micro Demand and supply, elasticities, price floors and price ceilings. Mr Toh, 10am to 1130am
Lesson 2 · Micro Types of market failure (public, merit and demerit goods, externalities, imperfect information) and government intervention and failure (taxes, subsidies, quotas, legislation, provision). ETG Tutoring Team, 12pm to 130pm
Lesson 3 · Micro Comparing market structures, profits and alternative objectives of firms, behaviour of oligopolies. ETG Tutoring Team, 2pm to 330pm
Lesson 4 · Macro Measuring economic performance and standard of living over time and space, with key indicators and their limitations. ETG Tutoring Team, 4pm to 530pm
Lesson 5 · Macro AD-AS analysis, economic growth and unemployment, and the macro policies that address them. ETG Tutoring Team, 6pm to 730pm
JC1 students attend Lessons 1 to 3, the key concepts usually tested at the JC1 promotional examinations.
JC2 H1 students attend Lessons 1, 2, 4 and 5, the key topics for the H1 paper.
JC2 H2 students attend all five lessons, all key topics for the H2 paper.

What to expect: exposure to about 25 essential exam questions across the five lessons, more questions in a day than many students do alone in a term, plus the skills to craft high-scoring evaluations, dissect questions and structure answers, and a refresh of five key topics in a single day.

Part 2, the Level 2 CSQ and Essay Bootcamps

Twenty-four essays and sixteen case studies, in two days.

The Level 2 Bootcamps cover 24 essays (10 September 2026) and 16 case studies (9 September 2026), both starting at 9am with Mr Toh. You get exposure to a wide range of questions that come up, insights on how each concept tends to be tested, and the skills to structure answers and write high-scoring evaluations.

01

Homework first

You receive a hard-copy booklet of questions and answers. Eight case studies and twelve essays are assigned as pre-work, so you arrive having already attempted them.

02

Answer dissection

On the day, Mr Toh covers each question in depth: how to dissect it, read its requirements, structure the answer, identify trends and write strong evaluations.

03

Keep the recordings

Recorded video lessons open within 24 hours of payment and stay available until the end of your final A Level Economics paper, so you can revise any time.

JC2 H1 students take the CSQ Bootcamp (the H1 paper is all case studies). JC2 H2 students take both. Materials are posted within 48 hours of purchase.
