Three layers run at once so nothing falls through: catch up on everything taught since January, keep pace with the weekly classes, and practise on real timed papers. Orientation takes a few weeks. CCA selection takes another. Then school settles into a rhythm that is genuinely different from secondary school: lectures that assume you will fill in the gaps yourself, topics stacking before the previous ones feel solid, and a social life you are figuring out at the same time.
You were busy. You were adjusting. That is what JC1 does. By the time the June holidays arrive, many JC1 students have a working grasp of the content, but not the kind of command you need to walk into a promo paper with. The Microeconomics topics are harder than they looked in secondary school, and without structured econs tuition most students find the essay requirements catch them off guard too. The promotional exams are approaching faster than the calendar makes them feel.
Falling a little behind on Economics by the mid years is a normal JC1 experience, not a verdict on you. The question is not how it happened, it is what you do about it in the months you have left. Expedite was built specifically for this window, around the exact arc from May to September, so the promos become the moment you reset rather than the moment it slips away.
Whether you are trying to pass promos, hit a B, or push for an A, the path forward runs through the same framework. What changes is where you are starting from. Most students who struggle are not struggling at all three stages equally. The stage you are stuck at tells you exactly where to focus. The three stages below are a diagnostic, not a destination. Find where you are. That is where we start.
If your answers feel thin, you run out of things to say, or diagrams and concepts do not quite stick together, this is the gap, and it is the most common starting point for JC1 students joining mid year. Firms and Decisions, the diagrams, Market Structures, Market Failure. These are not things you brute force with highlighted notes and rote repetition. We do not train you to memorise model answers, we teach you to understand why things work, so the content holds up under any question.
You understand the content but the grades do not reflect it, sitting in the D to C range and not moving. You can explain a concept to a friend, then sit in front of an exam question and something does not translate. Points are asserted without explanation, causal links are missing, the examiner writes lacks rigour and you do not know why. This is not an intelligence problem, it is a skill problem. Every week you submit an essay or case study and get it back marked, with a worked solution and specific comments on where the marks went.
You are already getting Bs and Cs and want to push higher, or you are aiming for an A and it keeps slipping. Singapore A Level Economics questions are always grounded in real context: current events, policy debates, market realities. Many students copy a template evaluation, paste it in and hope. Examiners can tell. We drill genuine judgement, weighing and prioritising, the part that actually separates one grade from the next.
"Content gets you in the door. Application earns you marks. Evaluation decides whether you walk out with an A."

Joining regular econs tuition mid year means starting current but missing everything that came before. Expedite closes both gaps at once: most JC1 programmes do one of these, Expedite runs all three together, so catching up, keeping pace and practising under pressure happen in parallel rather than one after another.
Twenty six recorded lessons covering everything taught from January, open from the day you join, so a mid year start never means missed content.
The weekly live classes from July to September, onsite at Coronation Plaza, Kovan, Upper Thomson and Pasir Ris, or live on Zoom, keeping you on pace with the syllabus right up to the promos.
Four graded mock promo papers under exam conditions, each marked with specific written feedback, so you walk into the real promos having already sat the format.
And after the promos, a free Headstart programme of 16 lessons carries your momentum straight into JC2, covering the Macroeconomics content that forms the bulk of JC2, so you start the next year already ahead.
Here is exactly what you are getting and why each part matters. One fee, no a la carte add-ons.
Starting June, a weekly graded homework cycle. Most weeks you receive an essay set or a case study set. At many centres this kind of session counts as a paid lesson. Here it is included for every student, because the feedback loop between attempting, being marked, and reviewing a worked solution is one of the most direct ways you improve.
It does not matter when you join. The full year of recordings, from January, is open to you immediately, organised by topic. Join in mid May and the January to mid May lessons are waiting, ready to watch on your own schedule. You are not catching up in the dark.
Ongoing classes from July through September, onsite at Coronation Plaza, Kovan, Upper Thomson and Pasir Ris, or live on Zoom, with every session recorded to the LMS if you miss one.
Four full length mock promotional examinations, set and marked by ETG tutors. Each script returned with written feedback on where you lost marks and why, the most honest indicator of where you stand before the actual paper.
Zoom consults, face to face consults, and direct WhatsApp access to the team. No appointment backlog, no additional charge. Use them as often as you need.
Book ETG's physical classrooms on select weekdays during exam season for independent revision, with teaching assistants on site.
"Not only do you go through content, ETG also covers essay questions, and that made all the difference." Cassie CJC
There is one fee and no a la carte add-ons. From the day you register, the whole system is yours.
Every publication in Expedite is written by Mr Toh, the same person who wrote the H1 and H2 TYS answer keys published by SAP and sold at Popular. These are not photocopied notes from years ago or generic summaries. They are printed, bound and handed to you, not PDFs emailed at the last minute.

A full in-house library, custom printed, included from day one.
"The resources were concise, packed into easily digestible forms. It was very obvious that they were going to get me somewhere."
Nicklaus Chiok · SAJC
Expedite is taught by Mr Eugene Toh, ETG's founder and lead economics tutor, who wrote the H1 and H2 Economics TYS answer keys published by SAP and sold at Popular, and the 50 Model Essays series published by Shing Lee. He holds a B.A. in Economics from NUS and an M.Sc. in Applied Economics from SMU.
He still personally teaches every cohort, marks the essays, and replies on WhatsApp, including late at night. The 24/7 access to him is real, not a marketing line. For Expedite students specifically, every mock promo paper is designed with the same rigour Mr Toh brings to his published work, and the feedback on each script is personal, specific and actionable. Get the foundations right in JC1, from the person who defined the model answers, and the whole of JC2 becomes easier.

We would rather you weigh the student videos and their own words than a single figure. For the record, the whole cohort A-rate for the Class of 2025 was 74 percent, which counts every student who sat A Level Economics under ETG, not a curated selection of top scorers.
A word on how we get these numbers. In earlier years we texted every student after results to ask how they did, and published the outcomes alongside a wall of fame naming the students who scored an A. These days we keep it lighter: students simply let us know, if they are comfortable, through our student Telegram channel. So the figure reflects only the students who choose to report, and both strong and weaker students may not, so treat it as indicative rather than exact. That is also why, in recent years, we lead with what students actually say, and with the quality of the programme, rather than a percentage. We never claim guarantees, and SEAB sets the paper, not us.
A wall of real ETG students on camera, from across Singapore's JCs.
"I really like how it is very structured, and the homework schedule keeps me on track."
Amanda Wagner RI"He related Economics concepts to real life examples in an entertaining yet informative way."
Om Mahajan NJC"Mr Toh prepares us for exams more than we need to be, and the LMS meant I never fell behind."
Myra Sham ACJC"What makes ETG stand out is Mr Toh himself. You can tell he genuinely cares about every student."
Jen Mae HCI"It was very structured, with the chance to attend physical or online lessons."
Andria Soh YIJC"I can rely on Mr Toh for things outside of just studies."

Expedite is ETG's structured JC1 A Level Economics promo revision programme, built around the May to September window into the promotional exams. It combines 26 recorded catch-up lessons, the ongoing weekly live classes, a weekly graded homework cycle, four graded mock promo papers and a free Headstart into JC2, in one all inclusive fee. It suits students across the full grade range, from those who need to pass promos to those pushing for an A.
ETG is a specialist centre that teaches A Level Economics only, so every lesson, resource and tutor is dedicated to one subject. The founder, Mr Eugene Toh, personally teaches every cohort, marks student work, and is reachable directly on WhatsApp. He is the author of the H1 and H2 Economics TYS answer keys published by SAP and sold at Popular, and the 50 Model Essays series, so the materials students receive come from the same person who wrote the reference texts many students study from. The weekly marked homework that other centres charge as a separate lesson is included for every student.
No, this is one of the core design features of Expedite. Regardless of when you join, you get immediate access to all 26 recorded lessons conducted from January to June, organised by topic and available on demand through the LMS. You are not starting behind, you have the same content every student who joined in January received. Many students use the June holidays to work through the catch-up recordings, some systematically by topic, others in a focused block revision style using the textbooks and recordings together.
Starting June, ETG runs a weekly graded homework cycle. Most weeks you receive an essay set or a case study set. You attempt it under your own conditions, submit it, and receive two things in return: a worked solution and a personally marked script with specific written comments explaining where marks were lost and why. At many other econs tuition centres this kind of session counts as a paid lesson. Here it is included, because the feedback loop between attempting, being marked, and reviewing a worked solution is one of the most direct drivers of grade improvement.
All weekly live classes are available both onsite and via Zoom livestream. Onsite locations include Coronation Plaza at Bukit Timah, Kovan, Upper Thomson and Pasir Ris, and you can switch between modes freely. ETG has run online classes since 2018, before it became the norm. All live sessions are recorded and uploaded to the LMS, so if you miss a class you do not lose access to that lesson, and Zoom students receive the same hard copy materials, couriered to them directly.
Expedite is the JC1 programme, built around the promotional exams from May to September. Last Lap is the JC2 programme, built around the final run to the A Levels. If you are in JC1, Expedite is the one for you. If you are in JC2, see Last Lap.
It is not too late. Students at the D and E range are typically stuck at the content or application stage, either the conceptual foundations are shaky, or they understand the content but cannot translate it into marks on a script. Both are fixable with structured teaching, repeated practice and a proper feedback loop. The 26 recorded lessons provide the content foundation, and the weekly graded homework builds the application skill. Students who have made substantial grade jumps at ETG typically describe the turning point as understanding how the exam actually works, not just knowing more content.
Headstart is ETG's post promos programme that runs from October to December, between the end of JC1 promos and the start of JC2. It covers the Macroeconomics content that forms the bulk of JC2, so students who complete Expedite and continue into Headstart begin JC2 with their foundations already in place. It is included free with Expedite, 16 lessons valued at $1,680. It is not mandatory, but students who continue tend to report a noticeably smoother transition into JC2.
The early bird fee is $2,980, valid till 30 June 2026, covering 26 recorded lessons, weekly live classes from July to September, four graded mock promo exams, the full hard copy materials library, unlimited consultations and the free Headstart programme. The total component value if purchased separately is $6,345, or $7,585 for the first 30 registrations who also receive three bonus crashcourse programmes. You can register via form and pay after, or reserve directly by PayNow or credit card. Confidential financial assistance of 25% to 100% is available for eligible students.
We publish whole cohort figures rather than cherry picked top scorers. The 2025 A-rate was 74 percent, self reported by students after results, so it carries the usual response and selection bias and is indicative rather than exact. SEAB sets the paper, not us. That is why we lead with what students actually say, which is why their videos and their own words sit above any number on this page.
The promo exams are not the end of the story, they are the foundation JC2 is built on. Expedite gives you the structure to finish JC1 well, and the free Headstart programme to begin JC2 ahead.
We are ready when you are. Register for Expedite, or sit a real trial lesson first, same room, same material, same standard.
