It is May, or June, or July. The A Levels are in the first week of November, the year so far has not gone exactly to plan, and the question is what to do about it.

Marked feedback is the bottleneck. Most JC2 students see structured feedback on only a handful of essays all year, because individual marking at scale is genuinely hard to deliver. Writing an essay and then reading a marker's comments on it is what builds the skill.
Students often reach the middle of JC2 having written about six essays, and know that is not enough.
12 marks per Paper 2, the component that separates a high B from an A, and the one most students are never explicitly taught. You have been losing marks here every paper since JC1, often without knowing why. The fix is technique, and technique is teachable.
Students lose marks on the AQ in every paper and rarely find out which part cost them.

Mr Wong's GP lessons have been very helpful. He is very precise when explaining our mistakes and his consults are also very helpful!
