Key Terms of Enrolment

Enrolling at ETG is governed by the Terms & Conditions you sign for your specific programme. This page summarises the policies families ask about most. Where anything here differs from your signed programme Terms & Conditions, the signed document prevails.

Section 1

Lesson recordings and the LMS

Every ETG lesson is recorded and uploaded to our learning platform (the LMS), usually within 24 hours. Students can replay every lesson conducted from their registration date onwards, for as long as they are enrolled, right up to their final paper.

Figures like "160+ recorded lessons" describe the library built across the full duration of a programme (for example, the complete two-year A Level course). They are not a bundle of past lessons granted on signup. Lessons taught before you joined are not included in your enrolment; they can be purchased separately at a discount, and full back-catalogue access is a defined feature of specific programmes, Expedite (JC1), Last Lap (JC2), and the Repeat Student Programme, as set out in their respective Terms & Conditions.

To be clear about which rule applies where: package programmes that state a recorded lesson library as part of what is included, such as Last Lap, Expedite, ETG Digital and the H1 programme, do include the library described on their own pages. The rule about lessons taught before you joined is the rule for the weekly programme.

LMS access ends when your enrolment ends. Recordings and materials are ETG's intellectual property: downloading, screen-recording, sharing, or redistributing them, and sharing of student accounts, are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access without refund.

Section 2

Programme fit and exam sessions

Each ETG group programme is built for a specific syllabus and examination sitting, for example, the GCE A Level (Singapore) and the IB November examination session. The curriculum, mock examinations, and term calendar are sequenced to that sitting.

Enrolment is subject to ETG's confirmation that the programme fits the student's syllabus, level, and examination session. We are not obliged to admit a student into a programme that does not match their examination sitting, or to modify a group programme's schedule, syllabus, or session for an individual student. Where a group programme is not a fit, we may suggest alternatives such as 1-1 tutoring. ETG's decision on placement is final.

Section 3

Fees and refunds

ETG operates a strict no-refund policy. Missed lessons are never refunded, every lesson is available on the LMS to watch in your own time. Withdrawal requires notice as set out in your programme's Terms & Conditions, and fees already paid are not refunded. The narrow, documented exceptions (for example, the Repeat Student Programme's local-university admission exception) are stated in the relevant signed Terms & Conditions and apply only as written there.

The one exception families ask about most is the Repeat Student Programme's university offer provision, which applies to RSP+ and RSP Premium only, not to RSP Core: if you are on RSP+ or RSP Premium and you receive an offer from NUS, NTU or SMU after joining, the unused part of your fee is pro-rated, exactly as stated on that programme's page.

Section 4

Website and marketing materials

Descriptions on our website, brochures, advertisements, and social media summarise our programmes over their full duration. They are provided for general information and do not form part of your contract with ETG. Your contract consists solely of your signed programme Terms & Conditions and your registration. No tutor or staff member is authorised to vary these terms verbally.

Section 5

Goodwill gestures

We occasionally extend goodwill beyond what our policies require. Any such gesture is a one-off, does not amend our terms, and does not create a precedent for any student or family.

Section 6

Respectful conduct

We are committed to a safe, respectful environment for our students and our team. We reserve the right to decline enrolment, or to suspend or discontinue services, where the conduct of a student, or of a parent or guardian, is, in our assessment, abusive, threatening, or persistently unreasonable towards our staff or other students, or otherwise compromises the safety or quality of our learning environment. The determination of what constitutes such conduct rests solely with ETG's management. Where services are discontinued on these grounds, fees are handled as set out in the signed programme Terms & Conditions.

Section 7

Policy application

Our policies exist so that every family is treated the same way. They are applied uniformly, and ETG's decisions on their interpretation and application are final. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Section 8

Keeping this site current

This site runs to more than a thousand pages: programme pages, notes, model essays, worked answers, a glossary and a blog. We maintain it as carefully as a small team can. Even so, a link occasionally breaks, a date moves, and a page can briefly lag a change we have already made. Everything here is offered in good faith, as general guidance rather than as a promise about a particular date, fee or item.

This is really the same position as section 4. Our website and our marketing are not part of your contract, so where anything on this site differs from your signed programme Terms & Conditions, the signed document prevails, and our admin team will confirm the current position on request. If a detail matters to your decision, please ask us and we will tell you where it stands today.

And if you spot something that looks broken or out of date, tell us. We would rather hear it from you than leave it sitting there.

Section 9

Materials, gifts and availability

Printed materials, resource packs, complimentary items and gifts are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock, has been revised, or has been discontinued, we may substitute an item of similar or greater value, or supply a later edition of the same material.

Where a material is a named, itemised part of what you have paid for, you will receive it, or a substitute of similar or greater value. That part is a commitment.

Complimentary items and goodwill extras sit differently. In the same spirit as section 5, they are included because we want to include them, not because they are owed, and they may change or be withdrawn from a later intake. That never affects anything you have already paid for.

ETG programmes are operated by Economics at TuitionGenius Pte Ltd (201412435Z); 1-1 tutoring is operated by Eugene Toh Education Group Pte Ltd (202117044Z). For the full Terms & Conditions of your programme, contact our admin team.

If anything on this site, or on this page, is unclear, please ask before you decide. Our admin team answers on WhatsApp, and no question about fees, dates, materials or inclusions is too small. We would much rather answer it now than have a family assume something we did not intend.
